Trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit
This school year will come to an end with one last quarter left. The third quarter of our academic year is very difficult. It's challenging for me since the tasks for our learning activities are too numerous and more difficult than in the previous quarter. Lessons are more difficult than in the previous quarter, yet some are simpler due to theme topics. I'm struggling with the timeline and lessons, but it hasn't stopped me from trying. I altered my time management and focused on the teachings in order to better grasp them. I restrained myself from wasting my time scrolling on my feed and focused on improving my modules.
What I learned is it's alright to be angry, it's understandable, but you have to know that it won't do anything good to you, nor your situation. It's fine to complain, but remember that there's always a limit. It is unfortunate, yes, and you have the right to feel upset, but know that the things that you're experiencing right now will help you in the future. Don't complain the things that are beyond you control, just like your situation. What you can do is how you'll deal with it. It's hard but believe me it'll help you someday. Those who go through the hardest times bear the greatest fruit.
Another thing that I learned from a experience during the third quarter is their basis doesn't matter, what you think about it does. It is very normal to feel jealous to someone's success, but hopefully your emotions won't get the best of you. However, if you know your capabilities and how much more you can achieve, why would you get jealous in the first place? Awards? Recognition? People have different standards and definition of "good". The thing is, it's just for formalities. Things might be subjective. And maybe because you're being too hard on yourself, perhaps you're setting a standard that " Dapat ganito ako, dapat magaling ako dito." In simple terms, you define you. So, just don't get jealous over someone's achievements. All of these realizations and learnings came from advice from a friend. My friend, whom I only met online and have never met in person. I never imagined him advising me on my future.
