Facing a Bright Future Full of Hope in spite of a Dark Past

The year 2021 is not greater than 2020. This year saw a slew of blood-seeking incidents. Tragedies, pandemics, and other natural calamities have happened. COVID comes back with a new variant and second wave in the Philippines on March 12,2021. Recently, on December 17, 2021, Typhoon Odette started destroying homes. And yet, until now, Filipinos that are affected are still moving on. Millions of lives are lost, yet we are fortunate to be alive. Thank God, we are still free to live, and the year 2022 awaits us.

People gain maturity and discipline through time, and it is a process that is ongoing. We face obstacles, and sometimes we fail to pass them because we make mistakes. For me, 2021 is even worse than 2020 because this is the year where I was confronted with academic problems and struggles since tenth grade is a more difficult era in high school compared to ninth grade since it is evident that the grades given were not that accurate. I also learned that pressuring yourself while studying will never help you gain good grades, and I also thought to myself that I would just do my best and enjoy this school year without stressing and neglecting myself. It is for these reasons that there is a need to change my routine, focus, and actions. It's an easy thing to do, but it's a step forward. Unlike previously, I work out, dance, and complete my skin care regimen until the day I get up in the morning.

This is a new year. As a more evolved individual, I am completely developed. I learnt and did things I had never done before. I can say that I am still developing into the greatest version of myself. I hope that 2022 will be a lot better and that no terrible occurrences will occur again. It is natural for an individual to develop over time. Our errors are what have shaped us into the people we are today. Even though the Omicron Variant recently entered the Philippines and the number of cases began to rise again, we should not give up hope. In spite of a dark past, we are still facing a bright future, a future that is full of mystery as to what will happen next. The only thing that we can do is to prepare ourselves for these possibilities that might happen in this new year. Happy New Year! ๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŽ‡
