Lent concludes on April 10, 2022, the day before Easter Sunday. On Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all Fridays during the season of Lent. Catholics aged 14 and over are not permitted to consume meat such as chicken, cattle, hog, ham, and a variety of other meats. However, other foods like as vegetables, fruits, eggs, milk, fish, and grains are permitted to be consumed during Lent. Kannawidan Festival: Narambak a Piyesta, Ittoy la Ilocos Sur eta!

  At the end of January, the Kannawidan festival highlights the finest of Ilocos Sur culture, from traditional attire and folk dance to tribal rites and marching band competitions.
